Georgetown is the county seat of Williamson County, on I-35 and the San Gabriel River, north of Austin.
What we check closely in Georgetown
- Two kinds of ground. I-35 runs through Georgetown. To the east, soils are mostly deep clay that swells and shrinks; to the west, thin soil over limestone on hillier lots. We check each home for slab movement and drainage according to where it sits.
- Older homes near the square. Around the historic courthouse district, we check wiring, plumbing, the roof structure and signs of past foundation repair or remodeling.
- Sun City. This 55+ community opened in the mid-1990s, so its first homes are about 30 years old. We look closely at original roofs, water heaters and HVAC.
Every inspection follows the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) Standards of Practice, with a digital report within 24 hours. See what a home inspection covers, or add a sewer scope.
